Stakeholder Coalitions

Stakeholder Coalitions

While the broad scope of issues that affect or intersect with school safety have common threads across the country, there are unique factors in each region, state and community. For this reason, School Safety Initiatives are tailored to the local context and formed in collaboration with local leaders. For a successful SSI, we look for key partners from the education, non-profit and government sectors who are ready and able to commit to a transparent process with robust discussions of the issues. We provide an initial roadmap for discussions based on lessons learned across the U.S. Our convening and facilitation of SSIs includes an unwavering commitment to neutrality and to ensuring all voices are invited, welcome and heard. We have found that the most successful convenings and initiatives include executive sponsors at the state level and a steering committee of leaders with diverse backgrounds, networks and perspectives from across the state.

The teams at Confluence PSG & PEBC have more than a decade of proven experience working together with stakeholder coalitions to advance change. Their work together has led to dozens of policy and regulatory changes, legislative actions and over $25 million in funding for programs advanced by the coalitions they’ve convened together.

The Safer Schools Initiative was created to address the full spectrum of levers & issues affecting school safety.
